Job summary

Wellings of Picton is seeking a reliable Dishwasher/Kitchen Assistant to join our Back of House. This part-time role offers year-round shifts, typically 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with 2–5 days per week and weekend/public holiday coverage.

You will operate the commercial dishwasher, wash and store dishes and equipment, keep the area clean, assist with closing tasks, and support the culinary team. Reliable transportation to shifts is required.

Qualifications

• Reliable, positive Dishwasher/Kitchen Assistant.
• Availability for 2–5 days per week and 4:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m. shifts.
• Must have reliable transportation to shifts.

We are looking for a reliable, positive Dishwasher/Kitchen Assistant to join our Back of House team. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to join a year-round workplace, gain
experience and grow within our culinary and hospitality team.

Schedule

• Approximately 2–5 days per week
• Regular shifts are generally 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
• No late nights, may be extended due to special events
• Shifts available 7 days a week, including weekends and public holidays
• Shifts may occasionally be longer for special events and major cleaning tasks

Duties:

• Operating the commercial dishwasher
• Washing and properly storing dishes, cookware and kitchen equipment
• Keeping the dish area clean, organized and sanitary
• Assisting with kitchen cleaning and closing duties
• Supporting the culinary team as required
• Assisting with additional kitchen tasks and food preparation when trained
