Job summary

Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment Partnership (MLSE) is hiring a dishwashing/kitchen attendant to operate and clean dishwashing machines, scrape and wash pots, and maintain a clean, safe workspace in a fast-paced arena environment in Toronto. You will handle waste, assist with receiving supplies, and adhere to health and safety standards.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is required. Prior kitchen experience is an asset, with strong teamwork and communication skills essential

Qualifications

• Punctual, dependable and flexible to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Previous kitchen experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Operate and clean the conveyor dishwashing machines and pot washer in a safe, organized and efficient manner.
• Scrape and thoroughly wash pots, and return to designated area.
• Adhere to WHMIS and MSDS principles to safely handle cleaning supplies and other chemicals.
• Sweep and mop floor, clean counters and shelves, and collect and remove recycling and waste.
• Assist in the receiving and storage of incoming product and delivery of supplies to proper areas.
• Empty and clean recycling bins; storage, drop off and disposal of recycling bins.
• Adhere to all MLSE service standards and policies including Health & Safety.
• Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
• Perform other cleaning and kitchen duties as required.
