The Silver Hotel Group is seeking a Dishwasher to support our Valhalla Hotel & Conference Centre in Thunder Bay, Northwestern Ontario. You will be responsible for washing dishes, cleaning equipment, maintaining sanitary kitchen conditions, and supporting food preparation as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience not required.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
• Highly responsible & reliable.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work cohesively as part of a team.
• Physical requirements: constant standing, frequent lifting up to 30 lbs, occasional kneeling/pushing/pulling, ladders/stairs/ramps.
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous.

Responsabilités

• Wash all main kitchen and banquet kitchen dishes, glassware, and cutlery to ensure sufficient supplies are available at all times.
• Clean the dishwashing machines, and jet components, including closing jet flaps.
• Wash pots and pans, including kitchen utensils. Wash display mirrors in the main kitchen and banquet kitchen.
• Clean ovens and stoves.
• Sweep and mop the main kitchen floor, ensuring no debris is left under prep/cook areas or stoves.
• Empty all garbage containers in the main kitchen and banquet kitchen into garbage dumpsters/recycling containers.
• Break down all empty boxes and deposit them into a trash compactor or designated pick-up area. Once compacted, tie broken boxes with wire.
• Clean loading dock daily.
• Clean/maintain the cleanliness of the staff cafeteria, dishes, and cutlery.
• Ensure the work area is clean and properly sanitized at all times.
• Any other duties as instructed by the Executive Chef or Manager on Duty, including food preparation.
