Job summary

On the Go is hiring a dishwasher at YYZ Airport to support kitchen operations and guest experience. You will keep dishware, utensils, and cookware clean and ready for use in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 40 lbs, and flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays. This is a crew-based position within our airport dining and retail concepts.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs (18 kg) or more.
• Able to stand, stoop, kneel and crouch for extended periods.
• Flexible availability including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a guest-focused service mindset while performing duties.
• Load, run, and unload the dish machine.
• Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for the dining room and kitchen.
• Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of dishware, utensils and cookware.
• Keep dish machine clean and report any problems to Manager.
• Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage or loss.
• Clean and sanitize food preparation and production areas as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Dishwashers at LGA are responsible for delivering the OTG guest experience. To be successful in this role, a dishwasher should aim to provide support to all staff by keeping dishware, utensils, and cookware clean and ready for use.

In This Role, You Will:

• Maintain a guest focus while performing duties
• Load, run, and unload the dish machine
• Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for the dining room and kitchen
• Assume 100% responsibility for the cleanliness and sanitizing of dishware, utensils, and cookware
• Keep the dish machine clean and report any functional or mechanical problem to Manager immediately
• Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss
• Clean and sanitize food, preparation, and production areas, as required
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to lift 40 lbs. or more
• Must be mobile and able to stand for extended periods, stoop, kneel, and crouch
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, holidays, and inclement weather.
