Job summary

TDSB Community Services in Mississauga is seeking a reliable dishwasher to support busy kitchen operations in shifts around 20 hours per week.

You will wash dishes, assist with basic prep, and help maintain a clean, safe work area in accordance with sanitation guidelines. English, Hindi or Punjabi skills are an asset.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.
• English/ Hindi/ Punjabi preferred.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots and pans using dishwashing equipment or by hand
• Operate commercial dishwashers according to safety and sanitation guidelines
• Sort and organize clean items in designated storage areas
• Clean and sanitize food preparation surfaces and kitchen equipment
• Clear and reset tables in dining areas between seatings, as needed and transports service-ware to the kitchen for cleaning
• Remove garbage and recycling from the kitchen and dishwashing stations
• Restock cleaning supplies and notifying supervisors when inventory is low
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors to maintain cleanliness
• Support cooks and kitchen staff with basic preparation or organizational tasks
• Always follow workplace health and safety procedures
• Assist with closing or opening cleaning procedures as assigned
• Load/unload supply deliveries transferring between storage and designated work areas (shelves and coolers)
