Job summary

You as a Dishwasher will:

JOB SUMMARY

As a member of the Food Services team, the Dishwasher/Porter will be responsible for dish room duties, transportation of meal carts to and from units, assigned cleaning and sanitation of departmental equipment and other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Ability to fluently read, write speak and follow written and oral instruction in the English language.
• One (1) year food services experience, preferably in a health care environment
• Knowledge of food service sanitation standards and infection control practices
• Minimum of Food Safe Basic Level (current)
• Ability to stand / walk for extended periods of time
• Ability to perform repetitive activities such as lifting (up to 11-22 lbs), reaching, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, and walking as required
• Must be able to pass a physical assessment
• Must be able to work where exposed to infection, blood/human waste, odors and work interruptions
• Ability to process information, organize and prioritize tasks
• Ability to work without direct supervision in a team environment
• Adheres to EllisDon uniform and footwear policy
