Disaster Restoration Technician

ServiceMaster of the Valley, Coldbrook, NS

We are currently seeking motivated and reliable Disaster Restoration Technicians to join our growing team. This is a hands‑on role in a fast‑paced environment where no two days are the same. If you take pride in your work, have a strong attention to detail, and enjoy working as part of a team, we want to hear from you.

Position Overview

As a Disaster Restoration Technician, you will be responsible for responding to residential and commercial property damage caused by water, fire, smoke, and other disasters. Our team is cross‑trained, so you’ll gain experience across multiple areas of restoration, reconstruction, and cleaning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Water extraction and setup/monitoring of drying equipment in accordance with IICRC standards
  • Demolition and removal of damaged materials
  • Cleaning and restoration following fire and smoke damage
  • Painting and assisting carpenters
  • General cleaning and debris removal
  • Assisting with cleaning projects when required
  • Maintaining equipment and ensuring job sites are safe and organized
Requirements
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Canadian citizenship or Permanent Residency
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Willingness to participate in an on‑call rotation
  • Strong work ethic and reliability

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
