How to Apply?: The Human Resources (HR) Disability Management Consultant drives and participates in departmental and agency-wide activities and programs that model and promote a safe, healthy, and client-centered work environment. This role interacts with key stakeholders to address case-related matters and bring cases/files to resolution. Responsibilities include promoting the agency's Employee Assistance Program, providing claims management advice, disability case management, workplace injury case management, agency attendance management, workplace accommodations, and support for return-to-work programs. The HR Disability Consultant ensures compliance with applicable legislation, policies, procedures, and agency standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
Services
* Manage the agency's leave of absence, disability claim, workplace injury, accommodation, and return-to-work programs.
* Communicate with and establish professional working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Assist, implement, and maintain health and safety policies, procedures, and guidelines, in accordance with legislative and organizational needs.
* Coordinate the collection and analysis of health and safety information, prepare reports, produce statistical data, and provide recommendations for improvement.
* Act as a liaison with Workers Compensation Board (WCB).
* Develop, maintain, and update human resources documentation such as health and safety documentation, reports, forms, and letters, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and timeliness.
* Enter and update employee information in HRIS and other applicable databases.
* Apply CARE principles in HR practices.
* Perform other related duties as assigned.
