Role Responsibilities
  • Review documentation including application forms, medical info, employment info, and data from other insurers like WCB and motor vehicle carriers.
  • Assess claims to determine rehabilitation potential and develop case management plans.
  • Interview claimants and employers via telephone prior to making decisions.
  • Manage claims proactively to minimize disability periods and facilitate return to work.
  • Utilize resources for diagnosis and treatment.
  • Ensure compliance with medical and rehabilitation recommendations.
  • Initiate assessments such as independent medical exams or surveillance when needed.
  • Maintain clear communication with claimants, employers, physicians, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications
  • Post-secondary degree in Kinesiology, Psychology, Disability Management, or related field (asset).
  • Associate, Life and Health Claims (ALHC) designation (asset).
  • 3-5 years relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in English; working with non-francophone groups and teams outside Québec.
