Work Location: Calgary, Alberta, Canada Hours: 37.5 Line of Business: TD Wealth Pay Details: $115,600 - $163,200 CAD This role is eligible for a discretionary variable compensation award that considers business and individual performance. TD Asset Management (TDAM), a member of TD Bank Financial Group, is a leading North American investment manager offering progressive investment solutions to both institutional and individual investors. Role Overview

Reporting into the Advisory National Sales Manager, Advisor Distribution, the Director is responsible for leadership and implementation of TD Asset Management's distribution strategy in Western Canada.

Key Accountabilities
  • The Director is accountable for the growth and performance of their region
  • This role would require leading, developing and holding accountable a team of wholesalers (Regional Vice President, Business Development Managers, and Business Development Associates) to help grow TDAM's footprint
  • Attract, develop, and retain talent
  • Develop and share ongoing industry wide best practices around sales, marketing, portfolio construction and business development
  • Work collaboratively with internal partners and external partners in order to maximize distribution effectiveness and provide a seamless client experience
  • Stay current on markets, regulations and industry changes
  • Develops strong COI's within the industry to support your region
  • Provide input on the development of annual sales targets, performance criteria, reward and recognition programs, compensation programs and key performance indicators
  • Uphold corporate and industry sales practices
Skills & Experience Required
  • University Degree
  • Preference given to industry accreditations (CFA, CIM, CFP, FCSI)
  • 10+ years of industry sales experience
  • In-depth knowledge of both asset management and wealth management industry
  • Strong interest in capital markets, portfolio construction and business development
  • Excels in a sales environment
  • Effective presentation and communication skills
