Job summary

Metrolinx is seeking a Director, Project Delivery to lead the St. Clair–Old Weston GO Station project on the Kitchener Line. This role provides strategic leadership across design, construction, and execution to deliver a major rail infrastructure program.

You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage budgets and schedules, oversee risk and contract management, and engage regulators and external stakeholders to ensure safety, quality and timely project delivery.

Qualifications

• Senior project management experience in rail transportation.
• Experience leading design, development and execution of rail projects.
• Budget and schedule controls for multiple projects.
• Knowledge of relevant Ontario legislation is an asset.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate the delivery of infrastructure projects from construction through to operational service in line with PM standards and environmental requirements.
• Provide senior leadership and support to a technical engineering services team for successful design and delivery of transit infrastructure.
• Manage complex asset class or systemwide technical issues, resolve conflicts, and communicate with regulators, partners and stakeholders.
• Direct development of technical specifications and designs; define interfaces between stations, track, signals, and systems.
• Oversee teams, set roles and expectations, monitor performance, and ensure timely, coordinated project execution.
• Collaborate with federal, provincial and municipal offices to advance service expansion and minimize municipal impacts.
