As a key member of our information technology team, the Director, Technology Services and Security, will oversee key horizontal technology services including vendor management, security, and IT operations. Reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)/Vice President, Cyber and Information Security, this role will lead a team of security and operations professionals, aligning with business and technology strategies. The role also involves setting, monitoring, and maintaining standards around vendors, ensuring comprehensive vendor management practices.

Responsibilities:
  1. Research and stay up-to-date on IT security practices, services, and solutions to counter evolving threats.
  2. Evaluate the cybersecurity landscape against IMCO’s threat scenarios and update the cybersecurity program accordingly.
  3. Plan and own the IT security and overall IMCO security programs.
  4. Manage vendors across the IT security ecosystem, from application security to perimeter defense.
  5. Serve as a strategic advisor for projects, applications, and infrastructure with an IT & security perspective.
  6. Coordinate with Cloud and Cyber managed service providers, managing governance, MSAs, SOWs, and contractual issues, while driving value from partners.
  7. Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders for effective technical solution implementation.
  8. Manage ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Release Management) ensuring high performance and continuous improvement.
  9. Implement and monitor service delivery frameworks, policies, and procedures, addressing escalations and problem resolution.
  10. Champion service and support in projects, minimizing service impact.
  11. Conduct service review meetings, analyze performance, and implement improvements.
  12. Collaborate with teams to ensure service quality and seamless operations.
  13. Communicate effectively across departments and build relationships to facilitate IT initiatives.
  14. Maintain documentation for projects, change controls, and technical specifications.
  15. Track vendor agreements and measure performance against SLAs for continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
  • 12-15+ years in progressive IT roles, with 5-7+ years leading teams.
  • Experience in investment management industry is an asset.
  • Degree from an accredited institution and relevant certifications are assets.
  • Experience creating and monitoring vendor management KPIs.
  • Experience onboarding and assessing vendors.
  • Excellent legal and business judgment.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and technical translation skills.
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Motivated, able to manage multiple priorities under tight timelines.
