About the Team

Product & Engineering Operations (P&E Ops) is a function at Seismic created to bring structure and speed to how our Product and Engineering organizations plan, build, and ship. We're the hub for the data, processes, decisions, and tools that let P&E teams move faster and deliver more reliably for customers. Reporting directly to the VP of P&E Operations, the Technical Programs leader will oversee Technical Program Managers and several unique Program Manager roles.

Following the merger of Seismic and Highspot, the Technical Programs team plays a central role in the success of the new combined company, including our programs, our customers, and our people.

About The Opportunity

We're hiring a Director of Technical Programs to lead, unify, and grow the impact of our TPM function. You'll lead a team that is talented and highly motivated, and unify them behind a single vision, bringing together two distinct TPM cultures from our legacy companies, standardizing how they work, what systems they use, and how we define success. We see TPM as the connective tissue as Engineering and Product unify two platforms and redesign our PDLC/SDLC to ship faster, with higher quality, for customers.

This is a hands‑on leadership role. You'll build the operating model, the career path, and the standards for the team — and you'll personally drive some of our highest‑stakes technical programs to completion, with metrics that prove the impact.

Who you are:

• 7+ years in technical program management, with at least 2-3 years directly leading a TPM team, ideally through a merger, reorg, or other period of significant organizational change.
• Track record of driving large-scale, cross‑functional technical programs — platform migrations, consolidations, or major SDLC/PDLC changes — to measurable outcomes.
• Experience building or substantially improving a program‑management operating model: standards, career paths, SLAs, and documentation, not just running the programs within one.
• Comfort partnering with distributed global teams, with genuine attention to making remote and offshore team members first‑class contributors.
• Strong executive communication skills — able to translate technical program risk into decisions for both engineering leaders and business stakeholders.
• A bias toward bringing people together rather than picking sides — this role inherits two team cultures and needs to build a third, better one.

Fluency with industry standard dashboard/reporting tools and knowledge of how to set, visualize, measure, and create accountability through effective project- and team-level metrics.

Nice to Have

• Experience operating inside a dedicated Product & Engineering Operations function, or building one.
• Background in enterprise SaaS, ideally through a company merger or acquisition integration.
• Experience building and managing software release cycles where quality is an imperative.

What Success Looks Like in the First Year

• The TPM team operates as one function with a shared standard, regardless of legacy company origin, and all North America- and India-based TPMs report feeling fully integrated and supported.
• A single, current source of truth exists for TPM engagement, role expectations, career path, and SLAs.
• Technical Programs has a defined, visible seat in the PDLC/SDLC redesign, with clear metrics tracking delivery speed and quality.
• Seismic’s updated PDLC and release processes are operating like clockwork with TPMs as its standard-bearers.

Reporting Line & Location

This role reports to the VP of Product & Engineering Operations. Based in Vancouver, Canada, with regular overlap hours with an India-based team; some travel for team offsite events may be required.

What you’ll be doing:

• Unify the TPM team into one operating model, bringing together the two legacy TPM mindsets rather than picking one, and ensure our North America- and India-based TPMs are all fully supported, well-integrated, and highly productive.
• Build the single source of truth for the function: how to engage a TPM, what good looks like in the role, career ladder and leveling, and service-level agreements.
• Consolidate documentation currently spread across numerous systems.
• Serve as a standing partner to Engineering and Product leadership on unifying two platforms and modernizing the PDLC/SDLC, representing program risk and delivery reality in that redesign.
• Partner across P&E Operations with peer leaders including Product Analytics, Product & Design Operations, Platform Transformation, and Technical Communications, to streamline the information supply chain that connects decisions, documentation, and delivery.
• Personally lead a portfolio of high-impact technical programs end to end, defining and reporting the metrics that prove measurable business and delivery impact.
• Own risk and escalation management across the program portfolio, including the cadence and format for surfacing risk to stakeholders and executives.
• Define the TPM hiring bar, own the interview loop, and build succession depth on the team so the function isn't exposed by a single departure.
• Coach and develop TPMs at every level, creating growth paths that retain strong talent from both legacy organizations.

This position is also eligible to participate in Seismic’s incentive plans in addition to base salary.

The actual incentive amount will very and will be subject to the terms and conditions set in the applicable incentive plan.
