As Director, you will lead strategic planning and integration efforts, ensuring alignment with enterprise goals and driving meaningful change. You will play a key role in our transformation journey — optimizing project portfolios, enabling cross-functional collaboration, and achieving operational excellence.

We seek someone with strong digital skills and hands-on experience in maturing supply chain competencies and leading ERP transformations (preferably with SAP or Oracle). A background in manufacturing supply chains, strategy execution, and change leadership is essential. Experience in product portfolio management and facilities or plant design would be valuable assets.

This high-impact role involves working closely with senior leadership and the executive committee, shaping decisions that support our critical enterprise priorities.

Formula for success :

  1. Identify and address risks to strategy execution, working with supply chain leadership to remove roadblocks and escalate issues as needed.
  2. Lead and communicate strategic transformation initiatives, ensuring stakeholder alignment, especially in integrated supply chain enhancements.
  3. Build strong cross-divisional relationships to align priorities and support initiatives like multi-product shifts and network expansion.
  4. Manage the supply chain portfolio, driving prioritization, risk mitigation, and resource optimization to maximize value.
  5. Represent the division at the executive level — gathering input, analyzing issues, and preparing decision-support materials.
  6. Develop and maintain a clear reporting framework for operational and strategic initiatives, including executive and board reports.
  7. Leverage digital acumen to lead and support transformation initiatives.

Desired Education and Skills :

  • University degree in business, life sciences, engineering, or related discipline; a Master of Business Administration or equivalent is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of project management, portfolio management, and change management processes; project management certification is an asset.
  • Digital skills and ERP transformation experience with SAP or Oracle are required.
  • Ten years of progressive leadership experience in business management, planning, strategy, and execution.
  • Experience in healthcare, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or blood banking industries is an asset.
  • Experience in strategy and financial analysis is an asset.
  • Highly strategic, forward-thinking, and able to balance short-term deliverables with long-term priorities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation, influencing, and negotiation; capable of achieving consensus and driving results.
  • Strong business acumen to support executive decision-making.
  • Proven track record in leading strategic change in technology environments.

Equivalent education, training, and experience may be considered.

What we offer :

  • 4 weeks' vacation.
  • Annual performance bonus up to 12%.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits for you and your family.
  • Defined benefit pension plan.
  • Employee discounts, wellness programs, professional resources.

What you can expect :

  • This role involves a hybrid work environment, requiring onsite presence at a Canadian Blood Services location 40% of the time (approximately 2 days per week).
  • Travel may be required for leadership meetings, approximately 1-2 times per month.
