Job description

As part of our Strategy& practice, our Private Equity and Pensions team offers you the opportunity to work with some of the largest and most complex asset owners, asset managers, and alternative asset managers worldwide. Our team engages with clients on strategic and operational aspects of investment management to develop sustainable and impactful strategies. We analyze investment and pension fund trends and explore innovative approaches to help clients grow and sustain their advantages. We provide strategic advice at the portfolio, business unit, and corporate levels on megatrends, operating model transformation, cost optimization, technology and data modernization, AI, digital strategy, culture, ESG, and sustainability.

Meaningful work you’ll be part of

As a Director in Private Equity & Pensions - Corporate Strategy, you’ll be part of a problem-solving team, helping to resolve complex business issues through pragmatic, sustainable, and executable strategies. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Working with large-scale pension funds, asset managers, private equity, and other institutional investors.
  2. Collaborating with top pension plans, sovereign wealth funds, and asset managers globally.
  3. Leading client engagements on growth strategy, ESG, digital transformation, culture, and more.
  4. Managing daily activities and delivery within broader client teams.
  5. Applying knowledge of asset management, pension funds, private equity, and the buy-side ecosystem.
  6. Handling ambiguous problems and fostering inclusive communication.
  7. Initiating coaching conversations and balancing big-picture and detailed management.
  8. Conducting analysis to generate insights and anticipate stakeholder needs.
  9. Communicating effectively with senior audiences and navigating cross-border teams.
  10. Building trust through open dialogue and upholding ethical standards.
Experiences and skills you’ll use to solve
  • Deep knowledge in professional services or in-house strategy, especially in transformation, planning, or chief of staff roles.
  • 10+ years in investment management within consulting firms, working with large asset owners or managers.
  • Relevant industry certifications like CFA, CAIA, IMC are desirable.
  • Experience leading technology-driven transformation programs.
  • Credibility in influencing and developing business in investment management sectors.
  • Ability to identify new business opportunities and support client development.
  • Proficiency in developing analytical frameworks and technology strategies.
  • Strong communication skills for senior audiences.
  • Ability to deliver quality work on time and within budget.
  • Relationship-building skills and stakeholder influence.
  • Passion for staff development, entrepreneurial spirit, flexibility, and valuing diversity.
