Position Summary

Reporting to the Senior Director, Strategic Payer Partnerships and Growth, the Director of Strategic Partnerships and Growth will be responsible for developing, managing, and expanding strategic partnerships with B2B private payor clients. This role focuses on driving growth through both new business development and the expansion of existing relationships. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the private payor landscape, demonstrate strong strategic thinking, and excel in building and maintaining high-level relationships with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Execution of Growth Initiatives:

  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, competitive landscape, and growth opportunities in the private payer sector.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the private payer landscape, focusing on expanding existing relationships and developing new ones.
  • Lead business development efforts to acquire new clients and expand existing partnerships, including identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling products and services.
  • Lead the implementation of strategic plans that focus on payer growth, new market penetration, and revenue generation.
  • Support the development of business cases for new initiatives, ensuring that they are aligned with the organization’s strategic growth objectives.

Payer Partnerships & Relationship Management:

  • Build, manage, and strengthen relationships with key payers, including insurers, consultants, brokers, advisors, employers, and other stakeholders within the private payer market.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior executives and decision-makers within client organizations to foster long-term partnerships and loyalty.
  • Develop customized proposals, presentations, and pitches to effectively communicate the value proposition to potential clients and partners.
  • Support contract negotiations, ensuring terms align with long-term business objectives and clinical goals.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, pharmacy and operations, to coordinate the execution of growth strategies and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Regularly analyze market trends and competitive intelligence to inform strategic decision-making and adjust plans as needed. Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and changes that may impact the business and advise senior leadership accordingly.
  • Support the Senior Director in presenting updates to senior leadership, providing insights into the progress of payer partnerships and growth initiatives.

Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Establish metrics and reporting systems to track the performance of growth initiatives and payer partnerships, using data to drive continuous improvement.
  • Prepare regular reports and updates for the Senior Director, providing insights into partnership performance and strategic outcomes.
