Job description

Our client is seeking a meticulous and analytical Accountant with a focus on statutory reporting. This role is integral to maintaining the financial health of their organisation, offering you the opportunity to utilise your expertise in managing financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. You will be part of a wider Accounting team, reporting directly to the Director of Accounting.

What you'll do :

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual statutory Board presentations and group reporting packs.
  • Prepare IFRS month-end journals for multiple entities, including appropriate supporting documentation.
  • Assist with quarterly reviews and annual audits of the consolidated group.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Regulatory Reporting and the Compliance team to ensure accurate and timely regulatory filings.
  • Develop and maintain good routines for intercompany activities, including balance reconciliation and settlement.
  • Operate in a rigorous internal controls environment and recommend opportunities for process improvements.
  • Assist with internal audits.
  • Participate in cross-training and support ad-hoc tasks, as required.

What you bring :

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Working towards or holding CPA designation or equivalent is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Oracle preferred) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
