Job description

We’re looking for a Strategic Engagement Director who is hungry for growth—both in sales performance and professional influence.

This senior role is designed for someone with Microsoft ecosystem experience who thrives in a lean, high-trust environment where their voice is heard, and decisions move quickly.

Our primary focus is new business development across strategic sectors. You’ll also support account relationships, ensuring continuity and helping us scale our presence within key client organizations.

The person in this role reports directly to the CEO and collaborates closely with SSI’s principal consultants and delivery leads.

Requirements

  • 3–6 years in business development, client engagement, or solution consulting—ideally at a Microsoft partner or consultancy.
  • Hands-on familiarity with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) and Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
  • Holds at least one Microsoft certification (e.g., PL-900 or MB-910); additional certifications welcome.
  • Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Self-starter who’s comfortable in a fast-moving, low-red-tape environment.

Responsibilities

New Business Development (Primary Focus – 70%)

  • Build and qualify a strong pipeline of new opportunities through research, outreach, and relationship building.
  • Lead discovery calls, align client pain points with Power Platform solutions, and develop compelling proposals with the technical team.
  • Stay current with Microsoft GTM motions, co-sell opportunities, and partner programs to uncover collaborative wins.
  • Represent SSI at Microsoft and industry events, confidently sharing our value story and results.
  • Support the CEO and leadership team with sales reporting and pipeline forecasting.

Account Engagement Support (Secondary Focus – 30%)

  • Assist in post-sale follow-through and serve as a key contact for early-stage client onboarding.
  • Help manage client communications, health checks, and identify organic growth opportunities.
  • Work closely with delivery teams to ensure promises made in sales are reflected in delivery.

Location & Work Environment

This role offers a flexible, hybrid work model. Team members may work from home, on-site with clients, or from our office in Regina, Saskatchewan. While much of our work is delivered remotely, some client-facing activities—such as workshops, planning sessions, or check-in meetings—may require in-person participation based on the client and the phase of the project.
