Qualifications

  • 15+ years of progressive software engineering experience with significant leadership responsibility.
  • Experience leading large engineering organizations with multiple layers of management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong experience with modern software development practices, including Agile and Kanban.
  • Proven ability to architect, design, and deliver large-scale cloud software solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to influence at all levels of the organization.

About the role

You will own the end to end delivery of the Transitions of Care product line, shaping the technical vision and execution roadmap in close partnership with Product Management. You will lead a large organization of approximately 50 engineers, driving strategy that aligns business priorities with scalable and secure platform capabilities. This role requires you to mentor ten to eleven managers and senior managers, building leadership capability and increasing talent density across the team. You will champion Agile and Kanban methodologies, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and technical excellence. You will guide the evaluation and prioritization of technical initiatives, clearly articulating business value and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. You will play a key role in developing and scaling AI powered products and platforms within our cloud based ecosystem. You will lead hiring, workforce planning, and succession planning efforts to attract, retain, and develop top engineering talent.

What you'll do

Define and execute the roadmap for the Transitions of Care product line, balancing innovation, technical investments, operational excellence, and long term platform strategy. Develop and execute engineering strategies that support current and future business needs while ensuring scalable, reliable, and secure platform capabilities. Drive technical architecture decisions across Core and Application and Platform Services technology stacks, partnering with architecture and shared services teams. Coach, mentor, and develop managers and senior managers, building leadership capability and increasing organizational effectiveness and talent density. Guide teams in evaluating and prioritizing technical initiatives by clearly articulating business value and aligning investments with strategic objectives. Lead hiring, workforce planning, and succession planning efforts to attract, retain, and develop top engineering talent. Collaborate with engineering, product, sales, customer success, and executive stakeholders to successfully deliver complex, large scale initiatives. Champion Agile and Kanban development methodologies, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and technical excellence. Support the development and scaling of AI driven products and services, helping create an integrated data ecosystem that enables innovation across the organization. Partner with Product Management to develop and execute roadmaps that balance product innovation, technical investments, operational excellence, and long term platform strategy. Establish clear engineering priorities and shared objectives to ensure alignment across teams and strong cross functional collaboration. Evaluate and prioritize technical initiatives, clearly articulating business value and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. Lead the execution of technical architecture decisions within the Core and Application and Platform Services stacks alongside shared services teams. Develop managers and senior managers, focusing on building leadership capability, talent density, and organizational effectiveness.

Requirements

15+ years of progressive software engineering experience, including significant leadership experience within complex technology organizations. Proven experience leading large engineering organizations through multiple layers of management, including managers and senior managers. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Strong experience with modern software development practices, including Agile and Kanban methodologies. Demonstrated ability to operate at a senior level in architecting, designing, and delivering large scale, cloud based software solutions. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels of the organization. Proven track record of hiring, developing, and retaining high performing engineering teams in a fast paced, growth oriented environment. Deep understanding of software architecture, system design, and scalability principles for complex, distributed systems. Strong commitment to fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and technical excellence.

Travel to Office expectations

For Remote Roles: If this role is remote, there will be in office events that will require travel to and from the Mississauga and or Salt Lake City office. These will include, but not limited to, onboarding, team events, semi annual and annual team meetings.

For Hybrid Roles: If this role is Hybrid, there will be an expectation to reside within commutable distance to the office/location specified in the job listing.
