An established industry player is seeking a dedicated professional to lead social performance initiatives within the mining sector. This role focuses on mitigating social risks while fostering positive relationships with impacted communities and Indigenous Peoples. You will design and implement training programs, monitor compliance with social management systems, and provide strategic guidance to leadership teams. With a commitment to sustainability and responsible mining practices, this position offers a chance to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic environment. Orla Mining is striving to be the emerging gold producer of choice with a geographically diversified asset base, a prospective development and exploration portfolio, an experienced management team with a successful track record, and a high-quality board and shareholder base.
Orla operates the Camino Rojo Oxide Gold Mine, a gold and silver open-pit heap leach mine, located in Zacatecas State, Central Mexico. This low-cost operation is 100% owned by Orla, covers over 139,000 hectares, and includes a large sulphide mineral endowment located beneath the oxide resources.
