We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Sales and Marketing to join our team. This is a high-impact leadership role that combines innovation, team development, and market expansion. The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping and executing sales strategies, exploring new business opportunities, and driving sustainable growth.

As a member of the Senior Management Team, the Director of Sales & Marketing is responsible for leading a team to achieve the company’s sales objectives. The role is accountable for developing business in new markets/segments, and sustaining relationships with existing customers and channel partners.

Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree. EMBA / MBA considered an asset
  • 10 years of executive sales experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior management role
  • Capability in increasing margins through aggressive management of price and mix
  • Ability to plan, manage and execute at both the strategic and operational levels
  • Established contacts and relationships with potential customers and channel partners
  • Outstanding selling abilities, excellent interpersonal skills with executive level customers and partners
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a result driven, team-oriented environment
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time (primarily in the Maritimes, Ontario, Quebec and North-Eastern US)
  • Bilingualism would be an asset
  • Strong critical thinking, judgment, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication skills. Clear and concise exchange of information both written and verbal
  • Strong coaching skills, comfortable giving and receiving feedback at senior levels
  • Ability to make appropriate use of technology (CRM and TMS system, Excel, etc.)
Responsibilities
  • Develop, lead and execute long-term and short-term sales strategy to accelerate business growth for all divisions
  • Develop pricing and marketing strategies for high profile customers and channel partners
  • Develop the annual Sales and Marketing plan and is responsible for leading team to execute plans
  • Manage overall sales process, set appropriate sales targets and metrics
  • Maintain key customer relationships and develop and implement strategies for expanding customer base
  • Provide coaching and leadership to all direct reports to drive growth and profitability
  • Explore new markets that align with the company growth strategy
  • Explore adjacent markets, services and products and development of these into revenue growth
  • Set and manage annual sales budget for staff working with Financial Manager and Operations Directors
