Qualifications

Job description

As a Director, Risk Services Commercial Solutions, you will be responsible for defining and implementing the strategic direction of Risk Services from regional and national perspectives. The role includes managing and ensuring the delivery of advisory, consulting, training, and education services in the Western Region, as well as overseeing the department's daily operations and staff management.

The objective is to enhance Northbridge’s Commercial Solutions Risk Services’ capabilities in underwriting risk selection, customer safety solutions, and positioning Northbridge as an industry leader in customer experience and safety.

You will provide recommendations to National Risk Services, ensure departmental efficiency, and lead, coach, and mentor your team daily.

1. Conducting comprehensive risk assessments across diverse portfolios, from small businesses to complex mid-market clients
2. Providing effective leadership, coaching, and motivation to staff
3. Developing and maintaining professional relationships with brokers and customers
4. Applying best practices in advanced risk management techniques

And possess:

1. Post-secondary education in Insurance Management or a related field
2. Progress towards or completion of CDS, CIP, or CRM designations
3. 15 years of experience in Property and Casualty Insurance or related fields
4. Experience in Property, Casualty, and/or Commercial Auto insurance
5. Previous leadership experience
6. A valid driver’s license with a clean record

The salary range for this role in Vancouver is $125,000-$150,000. Actual compensation may vary based on experience and qualifications. Candidates outside this range are encouraged to apply.
