Compensation : $145000.00 to $160000.00 yearly

Our mid-town client, a Canadian well-respected public company is seeking a Director, Risk Advisory Services.This role reports into the Senior Director and will have approximately 5 direct reports.This is a hybrid working arrangement (3 days per week in office).

The Risk Advisory team is a progressive and dynamic world-class consulting function that is focused on delivering innovative, valuable, and effective Advisory and Assurance and Enterprise Risk Management services by supporting the businesses to protect, grow, and improve its governance, operations, and results.

The Role :

As Director, Risk Advisory , you will be responsible to drive and lead relationships and projects with our client’s real estate business and the holding company and liaise with a variety of cross-functional stakeholders in critical and exciting operational and strategic areas. The engagements range from process optimization, data analytics and visualization, risk and controls assessments, assurance, and special high-priority consulting projects as requested by Senior Management and the Board.

About You :

You have superior communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels (both written and verbal).You are a critical thinker with a risk mindset.You can partner and collaborate with cross-functional teams, second lines risk and compliance functions and external auditors / consultants to establish reliance between coverage of risk across the three lines of defense, including oversight of the 2nd Line initiatives, as needed.You have an entrepreneurial mindset, you are self-driven, and possess the right experience, leadership and interpersonal skills, and executive presence to drive partnerships and engagements with Stakeholders, Executive Leadership, Audit Committees, and the Board.You are open to an ever-changing landscape.

Your Key Qualifications :

  • 8+ years of experience, including 3+ years of leadership experience, in management consulting, finance, managing business operations, and / or internal audit / external audit. Big 4 experience is an asset.
  • A bachelor’s degree in business, finance, engineering, politics, or social sciences.
  • CPA, ACCA, CIA or MBA is a strong asset
  • Real Estate or Asset Management experience highly preferred.
