The Enterprise Chief Controls Office (ECCO) is a centralized first line of defense group focused on embedding a culture of risk ownership and operational excellence. The Process Risk COE aims to elevate risk capability, reduce operational risk, and realize cost savings by standardizing and managing processes, serving as a risk advisory partner.

Role Overview

Reporting to the VP, Process Risk COE and Strategic Execution, the Director, Risk Advisory, will build an agile risk response capability to support 1LOD in addressing process-related risks and provide advisory support to mitigate risks in high-impact areas using standard tools and frameworks. The role enhances risk culture and control environment through proactive management of process risks.

What You Will Do

• Lead end-to-end advisory engagements, guiding 1LOD in proactive issue identification and resolution.
• Develop and advance scalable tools, templates, and methods for risk identification and process engineering.
• Build and lead a high-performing risk team, coaching capabilities across process risk, controls, analytics, and root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to foster risk ownership and embed risk practices that support resilient operations.
• Align with ECCO and enterprise priorities, using insights to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Must-have

• Experience in risk management, internal controls, or process improvement within financial services.
• Proven leadership in enterprise risk management initiatives.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and risk frameworks.
• Expertise in process mapping, root cause analysis, and data-driven decision-making.
• Ability to work in ambiguous situations and influence senior stakeholders.
• Experience in coaching high-performing teams and implementing risk reduction strategies.
