Position Overview

The Director, Revenue Management, is responsible formaximizing total resort revenue through inventory management, demandforecasting, and business analytics. This role is responsible for revenue optimization at Cabot Cape Breton and Cabot Citrus Farms across accommodations, golf operations, stay-and-play packages, memberships(where applicable), food & beverage, and ancillary resort experiences.

Working closely with Commercial leadership, Home OfficeMarketing, Golf Operations, Reservations, Finance, and Property Leadership,Cabot’s Director, Revenue Management develops data-driven strategies thatincrease occupancy, ADR (Average Daily Rate), RevPAR, golf utilization, andtotal guest spend while ensuring an exceptional guest experience.

The successful Director, Revenue Management, is acommercially astute, analytical leader with progressive experience drivingrevenue performance across luxury hospitality, resort, and golf operations.They combine expertise in pricing, forecasting, inventory and distributionstrategy, financial modelling, and revenue systems with the ability to turncomplex data into clear, actionable recommendations.

Collaborative, persuasive, and highly organized, they buildtrusted partnerships across Commercial, Marketing, Golf Operations,Reservations, Finance, Analytics, and property leadership to optimizeaccommodations, golf, packages, and ancillary revenue while supporting anexceptional guest experience. An advanced Excel capability, strongcommunication skills, and an interest in golf and luxury hospitality round outthe profile.

  • Develop and execute revenue management strategies tomaximize profitability across all resort revenue streams.
  • Analyze historical trends, booking pace, market demand,competitive positioning, and economic indicators to optimize pricing.
  • Build short- and long-term demand forecasts.
  • Establish dynamic pricing strategies for accommodations,golf tee times, packages, and seasonal promotions.
  • Optimize inventory allocation across direct channels, touroperators (where applicable), and group business.
Golf Revenue Optimization
  • Develop tee sheet yield strategies to maximize revenue andcourse utilization.
  • Optimize pricing by day of week, season, time of day, anddemand.
  • Consult on pricing for public play, resort guests, members(if applicable), tournaments, and stay-and-play packages.
  • Analyze golfer behavior, booking windows, and cancellationtrends.
Resort Revenue Management
  • Optimize:
    • Guest room pricing
    • Resort packages
    • Extended stay / golf offers
    • Dining packages
    • Retail promotions
    • Resort activities and experiences
  • Identify opportunities to increase ancillary revenue andtotal revenue per guest during
    • Peak demand periods
    • Shoulder season

Forecasting & Analytics
  • Produce daily, weekly, monthly, and annual revenueforecasts.
  • Run Daily Business Reviews with both property teams toreview group leads coming in.
  • Monitor:

    • Tee sheet utilization
    • Package performance
    • Booking pace
    • Market segmentation
  • Present actionable insights and recommendations to resortleadership.
Distribution Management
  • Manage room inventory across all distribution channels.
  • Ensure pricing consistency and inventory accuracy.
  • Partner with Commercial leadership and Home Office Marketingon promotional offers and digital campaigns.
  • Evaluate channel profitability and acquisition costs.
Reporting

Education and Work Experience
  • Experience working in fast-paced environments under pressure
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, Finance,Economics, or related field.
  • 8+ years of revenue management experience in hospitality,golf, and resort operations.
  • Experience with hotel Property Management Systems (PMS),Central Reservation Systems (CRS), and Revenue Management Systems (RMS).
  • Knowledge of golf operations and tee sheet managementsystems.
