Reporting to the Vice President of Retail Operations and based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, the Director of Retail Operations, Atlantic Region will oversee our Atlantic Retail operations, including retail corporate service centers under Speedy Glass, Appel Auto Glass, and our franchise network under these banners.

The role involves providing high-level customer service, optimizing people and culture, and managing financial resources to ensure profitability and operational excellence. Leadership, teamwork, and management skills are vital for fostering partnerships within the retail network and building strong relationships across the company, including collaboration with Wholesale, Distribution, and other support teams.

Primary Responsibilities
  1. Leading People & Relationships
  2. Contribute to succession planning for key positions within the team.
  3. Build and manage the team through coaching, development, and training aligned with Belron Canada's values and policies.
  4. Support the development of Regional Managers and Service Center Managers.
  5. Lead the Atlantic Franchisee Network in collaboration with the ATL Regional Partnership Committee.
  6. Develop trusting relationships with team members and partners.
  7. Establish internal and external partnerships, especially with Service Delivery, Operational Performance, Sales & Marketing, and Wholesale & Distribution teams.
  8. Lead by example in the field and promote proactive, open communication.
Leading and Delivering the Business
  1. Enhance profitability of the Retail network through strategic regional and individual plans.
  2. Ensure operational performance meets or exceeds standards.
  3. Achieve key KPIs that drive business success.
  4. Manage financial resources within budget constraints.
  5. Assess team performance using KPIs.
  6. Identify regional market trends and communicate insights internally.
  7. Oversee all corporate retail sites and ensure franchisee compliance with strategies and initiatives.
  8. Work with the Real Estate Team to develop and optimize the Atlantic corporate network footprint, including openings, relocations, and closures.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience, and Education
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration; MBA is an asset.
  2. At least 10 years of experience managing multiple units, preferably in retail.
  3. Experience managing and supporting a franchise network.
  4. Strong business acumen and operational knowledge.
  5. Proven leadership and motivation skills.
  6. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  7. Customer service orientation.
  8. Ability to work in a dynamic environment and support new initiatives.
  9. Personal growth motivation and team development focus.
  10. Willingness to travel across Atlantic provinces and to Montreal (4-6 times/year).
