Reporting to the Vice President of Retail Operations and located in Halifax, Nova Scotia, the Director of Retail Operations, Atlantic Region, will efficiently manage our Atlantic Retail operations, including retail corporate service centers under Speedy Glass, Appel Auto Glass, and our Franchise Network operating under the same banners.

The incumbent will provide a high level of customer service while optimizing people, culture, and financial resources to ensure profitability and operational excellence. Leadership, teamwork, and management skills will be crucial for creating and maintaining partnerships with employees in the Retail network in the region. Additionally, the role involves building and maintaining solid business relations across the company, working closely with Wholesale and Distribution functions and other support teams to achieve business goals.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Leading People & Relationships

  • Contribute to succession planning for key team positions;
  • Build and manage the team through coaching, development, and training aligned with Belron Canada's values and policies;
  • Support the development of Regional Managers and Service Center Managers;
  • Lead the Atlantic Franchisee Network in collaboration with the ATL Regional Partnership Committee;
  • Develop trust-based relationships with contributors;
  • Establish internal and external partnerships, particularly with the Service Delivery Team, Operational Performance Team, Sales & Marketing, Wholesale & Distribution;
  • Lead by example in the field, promoting proactive and open communication.

Leading and Delivering the Business

  • Improve the profitability of the Retail network through regional and individual action plans;
  • Ensure the network’s operational performance meets optimal levels;
  • Achieve key KPIs that drive business growth;
  • Manage financial resources efficiently within budget constraints;
  • Evaluate team results based on performance indicators;
  • Identify and communicate regional market trends to internal stakeholders;
  • Oversee all corporate retail sites and ensure franchisee adherence to Belron’s strategies and initiatives;
  • With support from the Real Estate Team, actively manage the ATL corporate network footprint, including openings, relocations, and closures.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience, and Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration; an MBA is an asset;
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience managing multiple units, preferably in retail;
  • Experience managing and supporting a franchise network;
  • Strong regional activity awareness and operational execution skills;
  • Business acumen and leadership capabilities;
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills;
  • Motivated by personal growth and team development;
  • Willingness to travel regularly across Atlantic provinces and to Montreal (4-6 times/year).
