Job summary

Fitch's North American Corporates Group seeks a Director for coverage of the Retail and Consumer sector, based in Toronto, with flexibility to work from New York or Chicago.

Responsibilities include analyzing quantitative and qualitative factors, building financial models, meeting with management, and presenting to rating committees.

Required: Bachelor's degree; MBA or CFA/CPA preferred; 8+ years in credit analysis or capital markets; strong communication and leadership abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree minimum; MBA or other advanced degree a plus.
• CFA/CPA preferred.
• 8+ years relevant experience, including coverage/knowledge of Retail & Consumer sectors.
• Capital markets and/or credit analysis experience a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to shift between multiple projects as priorities change.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis of quantitative and qualitative factors influencing credit quality.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models.
• Conduct meetings with Retail & Consumer industry management teams.
• Present analysis to internal credit rating committees.
• Mentor junior members of the Retail & Consumer sector; may have managerial responsibilities.
