Job summary

Fitch Group in Toronto seeks a senior Credit Analyst/Director in Technology, Media & Telecommunications to lead analytical coverage of selected TMT issuers, develop robust financial models, and present findings to internal credit rating committees.

You will engage with management teams, represent Fitch at external forums, and mentor junior staff while contributing to a collaborative, global ratings culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree at minimum; MBA or advanced degree a plus.
• CFA/CPA or CFA candidate preferred.
• 5-10 years relevant experience; some coverage/knowledge of the TMT sector a plus.
• Capital markets and/or credit analysis experience a plus.
• Excel and Word proficiency.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis of key quantitative and qualitative factors influencing credit quality of TMT companies.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models.
• Conduct meetings with industry management teams.
• Present analysis of companies to internal credit rating committees.
• Involvement in communicating rating rationales to external audiences (investors, analysts, media).
• Write timely and effective research on topical issues.
• Participate in evaluation of other credits within Corporates and related groups.
• Represent Fitch in panel discussions and conferences.
• Mentor junior team members; role may include managerial responsibilities.
