Join a leading property management company dedicated to delivering exceptional residential experiences while working closely with clients and internal teams to ensure seamless transitions and operational excellence.
Your New Employer
Your new employer is a well-established property management firm specializing in the management of high-performing residential communities. With a commitment to excellence, they provide clients with expert guidance throughout the development process, ensuring properties meet financial, leasing, and operational objectives. As they continue to expand their portfolio, they are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to drive the successful activation, launch, lease up and stabilization of new developments.
Your New Role
As the Director of Residential Leasing & Marketing, you will lead the onboarding and lease up of new developments (in house and third party) while serving as the primary client contact to ensure smooth transitions and operational success. You’ll put in place a Property Launch Team and mentor, supervise, train, and develop them through the property launch process, aligning financial, leasing, and business goals with company standards.
Your role involves advising clients on best practices and functionality, overseeing deliverables, and managing development service agreements. You will take ownership of successful launches, facilitate updates through regular client meetings, and monitor construction progress, ensuring schedules are reviewed, mandatory reporting is executed, and quality standards are met. Additionally, you will be responsible for hiring and training permanent staff to establish long term stability.
Beyond mobilization, you will develop site business plans during the property onboarding and lease up period, understanding investment objectives, compliance goals, market positioning, asset quality, and client financial objectives. You will enhance property reputations through resident engagement and play a key role in refining operational policies while championing company culture.
What Sets You Apart
The ideal candidate has 5-7 years of experience in portfolio operations, including lease-up management. We are looking for an assertive self-starter with a strong ability to lead teams while maintaining collaborative relationships with clients and stakeholders. You possess excellent project management skills, ensuring multiple teams and groups align to deliver results within set timelines and business objectives. With a deep understanding of rental market conditions, residential tenancy legislation, and construction standards in Western Canada, you can effectively navigate the complexities of real estate operations.
Your performance-driven mindset, coupled with strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, enables you to make sound business decisions while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. You excel in time management and organizational skills, adapting quickly to a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills allow you to craft compelling arguments, persuade stakeholders, and engage with executive leadership effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, as well as experience with YARDI and project management tools such as Asana or MS Project, will be considered assets.
What You Can Expect
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work directly with senior leadership and clients, playing a critical role in shaping the success of new residential communities. You will lead a dedicated team through high-impact projects, ensuring the smooth transition from development to operational management. Your contributions will directly influence the growth and reputation of the organization, offering a rewarding career path with continuous learning and leadership opportunities.
