About the team and the role

eBay’s Regulatory Initiative leads the development, design, and execution of end-to-end customer solutions to respond to the most significant, new regulations eBay and its sellers need to comply with. The global team works cross-functionally with teams across the organization (countries, legal, tax, product, marketing, customer support, government relations, etc.) to deliver solutions that effectively balance the needs of the regulation, customer, and business. The impact of the Initiative is significant; for example, we help ensure consumers and the environment are protected, and we are at the forefront of AI & Accessibility, impacting the vast majority of our customers’ experiences.

In this role, you will lead the North American part of the Initiative, managing a team of program managers and specialists. You will be responsible for the successful delivery of a portfolio of regulatory solutions for North America, managing relationships with senior stakeholders, coaching and developing your team, all while keeping the customer at the center. You will also oversee operational aspects of the initiative globally, including marketing and planning. The role reports to the Senior Director, Global Regulatory.

What you will accomplish:

  1. Successful execution of a complex, ever-changing portfolio of regulatory solutions from inception to steady-state.
  2. Engaging stakeholders throughout the process, ensuring they are informed and their teams are involved to build optimal solutions.
  3. Utilizing data, customer, and market insights to design customer-centric solutions and optimize impact.
  4. Continuously improving team tools, approaches, and processes.
  5. Executing and enhancing marketing and planning functions in line with global strategic priorities.
  6. Contributing as a senior leader of the Initiative, participating in key decisions, activities, and strategy beyond your immediate scope.

What you will bring:

  • Exceptional program management leadership experience, ideally from fast-paced corporate, tech/e-commerce, or consulting environments.
  • Experience managing senior stakeholders across functions and geographies, with the ability to clarify roles and navigate complexity.
  • People-centric leadership skills, supporting and developing your team in a dynamic environment.
  • A strategic perspective with the ability to delve into legal, product, or data details; quick to adapt to new challenges.
  • Clear, concise communication skills capable of simplifying complex topics.
  • Fluency in English. The position is based in Toronto, Canada, with expected travel of 15-20% (mainly to California).
