THE ROLE:

The Director, Recruitment and Talent Management, as a strategic HR leader, is pivotal in attracting, engaging, and developing top talent to support our growth. This role oversees the full recruitment cycle, from sourcing strategies to delivering an exceptional candidate experience, and enhances our employer brand to position Denison as an employer of choice. It also champions internal development initiatives that promote career growth, retention, and a strong performance culture. Reporting to the Vice President, Human Resources & Administration, this role helps shape our workforce's future.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:

The ideal candidate is a strategic HR professional with extensive experience in full-cycle recruitment, employer branding, and employee development. You possess strong execution skills, big-picture thinking, and thrive in fast-paced, collaborative environments. Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of external recruitment experience, preferably in mining or resource sectors.
  • Proven success in sourcing and placing candidates across various roles and levels.
  • Strong knowledge of talent markets, recruitment best practices, and employment branding strategies.
  • Experience in employee development initiatives, onboarding, and leadership training.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building relationships with candidates, managers, and leaders.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment for all levels and departments.
  • Develop sourcing strategies to attract diverse, high-quality talent.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand hiring needs.
  • Manage job postings, screening, interviews, and offers to ensure a top candidate experience.
  • Promote the company’s culture and opportunities as a brand ambassador.
  • Coordinate student internship and co-op programs with educational institutions.
  • Manage vendor relationships and analyze recruitment metrics to optimize strategies.
  • Maintain talent pipelines aligned with workforce planning.
  • Support diversity, equity, and inclusion goals in recruitment practices.

RECRUITMENT MANAGER

Location: Toronto, ON

Responsibilities include staying current with talent acquisition trends, overseeing employee development programs, coaching supervisors, leading engagement initiatives, conducting exit interviews, and supporting HR projects.
