The Director, Quality & Food Safety provides leadership and direction for all Food Safety & Quality Assurance (FSQA) programs and procedures at a Sysco Specialty Meat and/or Seafood Company, encompassing multiple shifts or facilities within a region. This role collaborates with SSMC/SSSC personnel on the development, improvement, and support of product quality and FSQA processes, including supplier and customer interactions. The Director manages FSQA execution across source supplier approval, product sourcing, production, plant sanitation, and regulatory interactions.
Le ou la directeur(trice), Qualité et salubrité alimentaire assure le leadership et l’orientation de l’ensemble des programmes et des procédures de salubrité alimentaire et d’assurance qualité (SAAQ) au sein d’une entreprise spécialisée en viandes et/ou en produits de la mer de Sysco, couvrant plusieurs quarts de travail ou installations dans une région. Cette personne collabore avec le personnel de SSMC/SSSC à l’élaboration, à l’amélioration et au soutien des processus liés à la qualité des produits et à la SAAQ, y compris les interactions avec les fournisseurs et les clients. Le ou la directeur(trice) gère l’exécution de la SAAQ pour l’approbation des fournisseurs à la source, l’approvisionnement des produits, la production, l’assainissement des usines et les interactions réglementaires.
Strong knowledge of HACCP, food microbiology, regulatory compliance, sanitation programs, traceability, and recall management. Demonstrated success leading audits, inspections, investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives. Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and project management skills. Bilingual English/French is an asset. Certifications SQF Practitioner or equivalent GFSI scheme experience/certification. HACCP certification.

Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Biology, Animal Science, Quality Assurance, or a related field.

Travel throughout Canada up to 50%.
