Job summary

BJRC Recruiting is seeking a seasoned Proposal Manager for a leading national law firm in Canada. You will lead the firm's proposal strategy, oversee pitches, and coordinate cross-functional submissions from assessment to final submission.

You will partner with lawyers and senior professionals to craft compelling proposals, manage deadlines, mentor a team, and use win-rate data and feedback to continuously improve the firm's competitive approach.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of proposal management experience, preferably in law or professional services.
• 2+ years of people leadership experience.
• Experience leading complex, high-value proposals and developing winning pitch strategies.
• Excellent writing, editing, visual design, project management and attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and proposal management tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the firm’s proposal strategy and oversee high-profile pitches and competitive opportunities from initial assessment through final submission.
• Partner closely with lawyers and senior business professionals to develop compelling, differentiated proposals that clearly communicate the firm’s value to prospective and existing clients.
• Coordinate complex, time-sensitive submissions involving multiple stakeholders, ensuring teams remain aligned and deliverables meet the highest standards.
• Use proposal results, win rates, and feedback to identify trends and continuously strengthen the firm’s approach to pitches and competitive opportunities.
• Lead and develop a team of proposal professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and support while fostering a high-performing and collaborative environment.
