Job summary

CMC Electronics in Montreal, QC, invites a Director of Program Management Navigation to lead cross-functional teams across Engineering, Operations, Sales and Customer Support to ensure program execution, profitability and customer satisfaction.

You will drive governance, manage risks, mentor program managers, and build strong executive-level relationships with global customers while advancing PM processes in a matrixed, international environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field; MBA is an asset.
• 10+ years of experience leading complex programs and teams.
• Bilingual, written and verbal.

As a Director, Program Management Navigation, your key responsibilities include:

Program & Business Execution

• Lead and develop a team of Program Managers responsible for successful execution of customer programs.
• Establish effective program governance, priorities and operating rhythms across Engineering, Operations and other functions.
• Maintain a clear view of program opportunities, risks and priorities and drive the necessary action plans.
• Ensure programs meet customer commitments, development milestones, delivery schedules and financial objectives.
• Identify execution challenges early and lead corrective actions and recovery plans.
• Own program financial performance, forecasting and key performance indicators.
• Support annual bookings objectives and identify opportunities to grow business with existing and new customers.
• Provide leadership and oversight for major bids and proposals.

Customer Leadership

• Build strong, trusted relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
• Maintain executive-level visibility into customer priorities, expectations and concerns.
• Lead resolution and recovery efforts for challenged programs.
• Monitor customer satisfaction and drive actions to continuously improve performance.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen and expand long-term customer relationships.

Team & Organizational Leadership

• Coach, challenge and develop Program Managers across business, customer, commercial and technical competencies.
• Build organizational capability, succession plans and bench strength.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and bias for action.
• Actively contribute as a member of the management team and support broader company objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement in Program Management processes and performance.
