The Director, Product Research and Development provides strategic input and product design recommendations on new product development initiatives. This role significantly contributes to identifying industry trends and evolving client needs. It involves gathering inputs from across IA Wealth and IAFG, leveraging complex analysis, and making judgments on moderate to complex business problems.

Your Day to Day

  • Strategic (30%)
    • Contribute to product development and pricing strategies across IAW, exploring new ways to design and deliver investment solutions to meet advisors' and investors' needs. Provide recommendations on strategic elements of product development initiatives.
    • Identify industry trends and evolving client needs; research new product ideas.
    • Analyze data on iA Wealth advisors' trends to inform product development initiatives.
    • Develop relationships with functional groups within iA Wealth and represent the team on specific projects with internal stakeholders.
    • Contribute to iA Wealth advisory committees.
  • Tactical (50%)
    • Draft initial product design and pricing recommendations; collaborate with investment teams and business partners to finalize.
    • Participate in pricing reviews to ensure competitiveness.
    • Conduct analysis and reporting on product and industry trends and iA Wealth sales.
    • Mentor associates and senior associates.
  • Transactional (20%)
    • Support other iA Wealth product team initiatives regularly.
    • Make autonomous decisions on most matters.

What You Have

  • 8 to 12 years of relevant experience with necessary competencies.
