Position Overview

Applied Systems powers the digital round trip of insurance, connecting each stage of the client insurance journey and plan lifecycle. We are seeking a visionary Director of Product Management (Employee Benefits), for AMA you will be tasked with establishing an analytical foundation that outlines the usage of the AMA product, the types of campaigns/content used, and the creation of insights around what drives the highest level of engagement. The Director of PM will have to integrate data from our email service vendor, Pendo, and Google BigQuery to surface key insights.

The position is remote, but ideally we are seeking a candidate based in the greater Chicago, IL, Milwaukee, WI, or Dallas, TX metro areas.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide product leadership for our comprehensive data platform strategy, including dashboards, data lake architecture, embedded insights, and analytics offerings
  • Drive the vision, roadmap, and execution of data products that serve both customer and internal needs
  • Lead and mentor a team of product managers
  • Establish governance frameworks and data quality standards across the organization
  • Oversee the development of a scalable data infrastructure that supports growing volumes and varieties of data
  • Drive innovation in how data is collected, processed, analyzed, and presented throughout the organization
  • Establish KPIs and success metrics for all data platform initiatives
  • Collaborate with customer success and sales teams to ensure data offerings meet market demands
  • Drive strategic partnerships and integrations to enhance data capabilities

We’re Excited to Learn More About You

Your experience may include:

  • 10+ years of experience in data platform leadership, with at least 5 years in senior management
  • Experience with digital solutions for Employee Benefits brokers and/or carriers
  • Proven success in taking products and ideas from inception to maturity
  • Track record of understanding customers needs intuitively and through objective measures
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to translate technical capabilities into business value
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing executive stakeholders
  • History of successful product launches and innovations in the data/analytics space

You may have other skills or credentials, including:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
    • A master’s degree is a plus
