Description :

Provides a combination of deep industry sector expertise, innovative thinking in a team-based approach and world class execution across a full suite of products to clients through an integrated Capital Markets platform using a sector ecosystem approach. Collaborates to generate creative, client-focused solutions to prospective and current clients in the Power, Utilities & Infrastructure segment.

Responsibilities :
  1. Works with senior bankers to provide strategic input into business decisions as a trusted advisor.
  2. Interprets client strategy and anticipates needs to deliver solutions.
  3. Develops and leverages relationships across LOBs, with executive and external clients to foster and support coordination and build stronger relationships with clients.
  4. Creates client pitch books for financial solutions and leads/participates in client presentations.
  5. Conducts due diligence (e.g., client visits, analyzing business models, and comprehensively reviewing industry trends and related regulations).
  6. Collaborates with product partners for clients and prospects to identify/deliver creative, timely solutions.
  7. Provides deal expertise and prepares/oversees delivery of creative and timely “pitches.”
  8. Delivers activities in instituting cross-selling initiatives to clients across all areas of the firm and transitioning them into significant sales.
  9. Recognizes opportunities to cross-sell and to grow share of client wallet.
  10. Understands the complexity of transactions and related risks (credit, market, operational, legal/compliance, etc.).
  11. Helps to identify and act on the delivery of meaningful revenue, cost reduction, or capital optimization opportunities.
  12. Assists senior bankers to maximize sector penetration and returns.
  13. Works with senior bankers to cultivate and develop strong junior bankers by demonstrating leadership, candid feedback, and career guidance.
Qualifications :
  1. Seasoned professional with a combination of education, experience, and industry knowledge.
  2. 7+ years of relevant experience in investment banking (currently a senior VP or junior director equivalent) or 9+ years sector experience in a finance/development role.
  3. Strong preference for sector experience in power, utilities, energy, infrastructure investment banking and/or M&A.
  4. Ability to lead transaction teams focused on strategic/M&A advisory and executing financing mandates.
  5. Demonstrated leadership skills including supporting the career development of junior professionals.
  6. Skilled at directing analysis, modeling, and generating ideas to serve clients in a collaborative and respectful manner.
  7. Strong communication and presentation skills able to assist in advising and influencing client decisions.
  8. Ability to collaborate with team and product partners to deliver best in class service to client base.

Salary :

CAD $170,000.00 - $175,000.00
