Responsibilities of the Senior Director, Portfolio Manager

• Manage portfolios across multiple asset classes to match liabilities and generate competitive returns.
• Ensure portfolios meet client objectives while respecting constraints, risk appetite, and tolerance.
• Prepare presentations for mandates, including to clients and senior management (Board of Directors and Investment Committee).
• Develop, implement, and update investment strategies and policies.
• Monitor economic and financial trends and assess their impact on portfolios.
• Contribute to the development of new products.
• Collaborate with specialized asset class teams and corporate departments (actuarial, accounting, tax, risk management, legal).
• Support strategic initiatives to foster company growth.
• Stay informed about regulatory changes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, actuarial science, economics, or related fields.
• CFA Charter or equivalent.
• Graduate degree is an asset.
• Minimum 15 years' experience in financial markets.
• Knowledge of asset-liability management is desirable.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Self-reliant, service-oriented, and driven to excel.
• Proficiency in English for daily communication with internal and external partners across Canada via email, virtual meetings, and content creation.
