Philanthropic Foundations Canada (PFC) is seeking a Director, Policy & Public Affairs to lead its public policy, thought leadership, evidence-based advocacy and media relations. • Develop and maintain a coherent, ambitious policy agenda, approved by the board.
• Build and maintain relationships with policymakers, thought leaders, partners and other sector organizations.
• Advise the President & CEO and guide all public affairs issues and organization messaging.
• Lead on messaging for PFC and the President & CEO as the primary spokesperson.
• Supervise research and dissemination to support PFC policy agenda.
• Lead policy, public affairs and related research across programs and operations.
• Act as a senior management team member, contributing to strategic planning and program direction.
• Provide strategic and operational leadership for Public Affairs and Research, including budgeting and resource allocation.
• Supervise and support an experienced Lead Researcher.
• Lead development and tracking of organizational performance indicators and reporting frameworks.
• Oversee procurement and management of professional service contracts.
• Foster a high-performing, collaborative work environment.
