Qualifications

Compensation: $99,000- $123,500

We're looking for a mission-driven Director, Payment Governance and Controls, Finance who is passionate about creating more accessible, inclusive, and equitable communities across Canada where people with low vision have unlimited opportunities and can experience life free from barriers and discrimination.

Your Impact at CNIB
  • Define and lead the organization’s payment governance strategy aligning with enterprise financial goals and risk tolerance.
  • Develop and enforce internal controls, fraud prevention measures, and process policies across all entities.
  • Partner with the Senior Director, Treasury to monitor liquidity, forecast cash flow and implement risk adjusted payment strategies.
  • Champion enterprise-wide process transformation identifying automation opportunities and reducing friction in invoice, expense and billing systems.
  • Lead and support ad hoc projects, including urgent register processing and business driven special requests.
  • ·Direct and oversee Accounts Payable and Receivables operations ensuring timely, accurate disbursements and collections.
  • Maintain and reconcile Aged AP/AR listings, delivering monthly insights to senior leadership.
  • Supervisor invoice and expense report processing, auditing for accuracy, policy and alignment and contract compliance.
  • Manage vendor relationships, onboarding, maintenance and fraud prevention compliance.
  • Ensure alignment with accounting standards, regulatory guidelines and funder requirements.
Who you are:

Education and Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance.

Experience and Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience of progressive leadership experience finance operations, and/or accounting or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise financial systems (i.e. NetSuite, Concur, Centre Suite) and payment automation tools.
  • Proven track record in transforming AP/AR operations, implementing controls and managing compliance within complex organizations.
  • Experience working with government funding, charitable operations and multi-entity structures is an asset.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel), financial modeling and dashboard building.
  • Demonstrated success influencing cross functional stakeholders, including senior executives.
  • Personal or professional experience relating to blindness and sight loss is considered an asset.
  • Personal or professional experience working with assistive technology and/or accessible environments is considered an asset.
