Job Overview:

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Director of Patient Care for the Medical Surgical Unit IV at Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required; Master’s preferred
• Current New Jersey RN Licensure
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Progressive leadership experience required

Scheduling Requirements:

• Full Time, 40 hours per week

Essential Functions:

• Supervise staff including RNs, CNAs, and Unit Secretaries for a 31-bed Medical/Surgical unit, as well as other healthcare providers delivering inpatient care.
• Manage staffing, budget, and quality measures of the unit.
• Be an integral part of the Nursing Leadership Team at RWJ New Brunswick.
• Oversee multiple teams supporting daily patient care activities.
• Maintain 24/7 responsibility for recruitment, management, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and satisfaction.
