Job summary

Cyclic Materials is seeking a Director, Project Engineering to lead the owner’s engineering team in delivering major capital projects, shaping front-end loading, engineering development, and readiness for construction. You will manage internal staff and external partners to ensure technical quality, safety, and alignment with business objectives, while mentoring the project engineering team.

Qualifications

• PE designation required.
• Minimum 18 years of progressive experience in project engineering and capital project delivery.
• Experience leading owner’s engineering teams and managing external engineering/ EPCM partners.
• Strong front-end loading, FEED, and design development experience for complex industrial facilities.
• Experience guiding projects through detailed engineering, construction, commissioning and handover.

Responsibilities

• Lead the owner’s project engineering function across multiple capital projects and studies (FEL-2 to FEL-3).
• Build and mentor a high-performing internal team of project engineers and technical specialists.
• Direct and manage external engineering and EPCM partners to meet technical standards and stage-gate requirements.
• Establish engineering scope, design basis, deliverables lists and technical review processes.
• Provide leadership in engineering governance, risk, value improvement, constructability and HAZOP readiness.
• Oversee development of execution plans, cost estimates, schedules and resource plans.
• Align engineering activities with project objectives, funding milestones and business priorities.
• Support contractor selection, scope definition and contract negotiations with Supply Chain.
• Provide senior leadership during project execution and commissioning.
