City of Surrey invites applications for a Director of Transportation, a senior leadership role overseeing planning, policy, and operations of transportation infrastructure and services to keep Surrey moving safely and efficiently while supporting growth.

You will lead a multi-disciplinary team, partner with regional agencies, set capital priorities, and ensure projects align with a thriving, green, inclusive city vision.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or municipal engineering with 12+ years of progressively responsible related experience, including 5+ years in a management or senior leadership capacity.
• P.Eng. registration or eligibility with EGBC.
• PTOE certification and ITE membership are assets.
• Extensive knowledge of transportation planning, traffic engineering, and multimodal networks.

Aufgaben

• Provide strategic leadership for the Transportation Division and align programs with City objectives.
• Represent the City with regional transportation authorities and partners to advance investments.
• Lead long-range planning, capital programming, and budget oversight for transportation.
• Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with government agencies, partners, and stakeholders.
• Oversee HR, workforce planning, and performance management within the Division.
• Drive initiatives from Surrey’s Transportation Plan and ensure project delivery.
