THEROLE IN A NUTSHELL

The Director Talent, Performance & Culture plays a keyrole in driving GreenShield's success by leading and executing the followingcritical areas of responsibility :

Driving Leadership Excellence and Performance Culture :

  • Refine the operating model for Performance Enablement & Differentiation, establishing a clear leadership framework that will promote consistent behavioural expectations, enhancing accountability & performance, and supporting a culture of effective leadership throughout the organization.
  • Build and rapidly implement a performance framework aligned with our talent differentiation performance philosophy, with updated processes, tools, and metrics.
  • Design a structured leadership framework that includes clarity around behaviours and accountabilities for all levels of leadership to drive individual, unit and organizational performance against GreenShield operational and strategy goals.
  • Develop and implement a structured onboarding program that, integrates employees within 30 days and improves retention, performance, and engagement.

Strengthening Leadership and Talent Capabilities to DriveIndustry Leading Performance :

  • Define what great leadership looks like at GreenShield and establish a robust framework that aligns, measures and elevates leadership capability to inspire excellence, drive strategic initiatives, and foster accountability and growth.
  • Drive IDPs, succession and internal talent mobility to invest in our existing leaders with ready successors who are aligned with the performance needs of GreenShield as the scales in size, complexity, and pace.
  • Deploy action learning leadership programs, mentorship and other mechanisms to activate top performance through active investment in our leaders with feedback and input from key stakeholders.
  • Cultivate exceptional leaders, creating a ripple effect that extends beyond individual growth, yielding a cohesive and collaborative culture where purpose meets passion and performance that advances GreenShield's 2030 vision.
  • Support the evaluation of the bench-strength of our Leadership Team to identify strengths, opportunities, capability gaps.
  • Following comprehensive talent assessment, develop and activate succession plans for all critical roles.
  • Develop a Wellbeing action plan that enhances overall employee morale and productivity, contributing to a healthier workplace culture aligned with purpose, passion and performance and establishing a baseline for wellbeing that can be measured and improved year over year.
  • Leverage programs from other employers and those GreenShield has used as client solutions for wellness that leads to GreenShield being the ultimate example of actionable wellbeing programs that impact productivity and performance leveraging our own products and services. Create the ultimate actionable with outcome measures client playbook for new and existing clients as well as make GreenShield the ultimate reference client for its own products and services in action.

Advancing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

  • Drive initiatives that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion as foundational elements of GreenShield's organizational culture. Collaborate with leaders to ensure practices and policies reflect a commitment to equity and foster a sense of belonging for all employees.
  • Refresh the DEI action plans to enhance organizational inclusivity and equity that drives engagement and retention. Identify success metrics, advancing GreenShield's the 2030 vision including advancing representation of BIPOC (30%) and women (50%) at the VP and above level by 2030.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • You are a pragmatic leader with deep actionable experience that will drive enterprise performance through people enablement, reporting directly to the Senior Vice President, People Strategy, Talent & Rewards. You will be instrumental in aligning people strategies with business objectives, ensuring People & Culture is a true enabler of the organization's success.
  • You will lead a team of three (1 program manager and 2 managers)
  • You will work very closely to enable the People & Culture Business Partners and client facing model, and with senior leaders to provide tailored solutions that address talent priorities, drive performance and enhance employee experience.
  • You will partner with Talent Acquisition to ensure external talent attraction aligns with internal performance and leadership expectations will help position GreenShield as an employer of choice in health and benefits.
  • You will leverage people analytics and talent data insights to demonstrate outcomes that drive line of business success, operational &strategic decisions, track progress, identify gaps, and continuously improve talent, leadership, and wellbeing.
  • You will implement and optimize modern talent and performance technologies that enhance leader self-serve, improve process efficiency, and support data-driven decision-making.
  • You will ensure talent and performance frameworks align with legal, regulatory, and internal governance requirements can mitigate risk while advancing our enterprise talent goals.
  • You will develop compelling narratives and reporting that communicate the impact of talent and performance strategies to senior leaders and the Board.
  • As GreenShield scales and complexity increases, you will play a pivotal role in unifying People & Culture centres of excellence, streamlining processes & data, tools to enable client success through our business partner model and focus, and building a cohesive, high performing team.
  • This position demands a forward-thinking leader who thrives on collaboration, embraces actionable solutions, and is passionate about fostering a culture of where purpose, meets passion and performance.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in HR, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Experience in health / benefits is desirable.
  • Experience working in a consumer facing organization is a must.
  • Demonstrated successes with a strong Business Partner mindset. Proven ability to align people strategies with organizational objectives and influence senior leaders effectively.
  • Strong foundation in people and culture strategy, with a proven ability to seek new ideas.
  • Proven experience enhancing programs and overall employee wellbeing, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Excel at navigating complex, matrixed organizations, incorporating strategy into rapid operational execution, and aligning cross-functional teams to deliver impactful outcom

Education :

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
