Job summary

Canada Infrastructure Bank is seeking a Director to lead a portfolio of complex early-stage infrastructure projects. Reporting to the Managing Director, Strategic Projects, you will turn strategy into actionable plans and manage multi-disciplinary teams to deliver investment-ready opportunities.

You will surface risks, align stakeholders and drive projects from concept toward execution with sound judgment and resilience in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of relevant infrastructure, project development, investment, advisory or delivery experience across multiple stages or disciplines.
• Experience with complex infrastructure projects; linear infrastructure and Indigenous engagement experience are strong assets.
• Proven ability to structure ambiguous situations and lead cross-functional teams toward clear milestones and decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day development and execution of a portfolio of early-stage, high-impact projects.
• Turn project strategy into practical development plans with milestones and decision points.
• Lead integrated cross-functional teams and bring the right expertise to issues at the right time.
• Drive projects toward investment and delivery readiness with coherent commercial and delivery plans.
• Monitor performance, budgets, risks and dependencies; resolve issues with clear recommendations.
• Partner with transaction teams to shape investable opportunities and due diligence processes.
• Develop and negotiate project development arrangements and terms of CIB participation.
• Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for project sponsors and key partners.
• Lead strategic assessments, memos, governance updates and Board materials for MD review.
• Support origination and assessment of strategic opportunities by external networking and early diligence.
• Lead and coach CIB professionals assigned to strategic projects.
