Job summary

Invest Ottawa invites a seasoned Director, Stakeholder Engagement and Experience to lead two high‑performing teams and craft memorable, partner‑driven experiences at Bayview Yards in Ottawa. You will align sponsorships, events, tenancy and community programs to drive growth and reputation.

Based in‑person at Bayview Yards with hybrid flexibility, you will shape strategy through data, coaching staff, and cross‑team collaboration while advancing DEI and arts–tech–cultural placemaking across IO

Qualifications

• A degree in Business, Marketing, Fundraising, Tourism & Hospitality, or related field.
• 7+ years of senior‑level experience in innovation, economic development, major events, corporate and strategic partnerships, or placemaking.
• Proven success in revenue generation and sponsorship development, with deals from $100K to $3M+.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end stakeholder experience across events, tenancy, sponsorships and onsite activations reflecting Invest Ottawa's brand and values.
• Lead placemaking strategy at Bayview Yards to create memorable, high-touch experiences.
• Develop and execute an integrated sponsorship and partnership strategy focused on long-term value and brand alignment.
• Drive earned revenue growth through sponsorships, space usage, events, tenancy and value-added services.
• Build, manage and steward strategic partner relationships with high-quality sponsorship fulfillment and reporting.
• Ignite a vibrant onsite ecosystem by attracting innovators and collaborators through high-impact events and community programs.
