Job summary

Oshki-Giizhig Inc. is seeking a Program Manager to lead the development and delivery of holistic service programs focused on wellness. Job description

POSITION TYPE PERMANENT, FULL-TIMEKey Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the development, delivery, and evaluation of the organization’s three core service programs—Wiigiwaam Housing Supports, Walking Stick Community Supports, and Beaver lodge Day Services—ensuring alignment with Oshki-Giizhig’s mission and holistic approach to wellness.
  • Ensure programs promote physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual wellness through culturally grounded, participant-centered supports.
  • Supervise and support program staff, fostering a trauma-informed, culturally safe, and collaborative work environment.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to program managers and staff, fostering a culturally safe, trauma-informed, and collaborative working environment.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with Indigenous communities, Elders, service providers, and allies to enhance service delivery and advocacy efforts.
  • Integrate Indigenous knowledge, traditions, and healing practices into service planning and delivery.
  • Track program effectiveness, prepare reports for funders and the Board, and support ongoing evaluation and improvement as directed by the strategic plan.
  • Contribute to strategic planning, policy development, and initiatives that strengthen community wellness.
  • Represent the organization externally and advocate for the rights and needs of individuals living with FASD or other disorders, particularly those affected by trauma and violence.
  • Report to the Executive Director and provide regular updates and reports to the Board of Directors as required.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of Indigenous concepts of care and support.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., social work, social justice, Indigenous studies, health related and/or a combination of pertinent experiences in these area), A master's degree is preferred.
  • 5+ years of management experience, in a non-profit organization.
  • Solid knowledge of disabilities, developmental disorders, and mental health issues.
  • Strong leadership skills, including experience in decision-making, team coordination, and conflict resolution.
  • Proven ability to deliver person-centred services addressing physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual wellness.
