Brandt is seeking a Director of Sales - Trailers Canada for our Transportation division. This position is responsible for developing, managing, and supporting sustained and profitable growth in sales of trailer products, including heavy haul and specialty trailers. The Director of Sales will aim to maximize sales, market share, and profitability within the geographical area.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure all dealers are capable of handling the Brandt product line.
  • Collaborate with the VP of Sales and local Territory Manager to develop and implement plans for growing Brandt sales within the territory.
  • Support the sales team in achieving product sales growth by providing high-level product, application, industry, customer, and competitor knowledge.
  • Coordinate and participate in delivering ongoing local product knowledge and application training for regional sales.
  • Drive sales for Brandt Heavy Haul Trailers through Brandt Peterbilt & John Deere dealers and evaluate regional marketplace channels.
  • Research and monitor competitor product pricing, activities, and tactics.
  • Provide market intelligence to position Brandt’s pricing, programs, and marketing strategies effectively.
  • Identify attachment product development opportunities to promote differentiation and increase profit margins.
  • Provide insights on inventory management to meet sales and profitability goals.
  • Assist with product line asset management regarding inventory turns and aging.
  • Participate in end customer visits as needed.
  • Travel extensively throughout the region, supporting sales visits with major dealers (up to 3 weeks per month).
  • Establish and maintain relationships with branches, ensuring they are educated on sales, service, and finance aspects.
  • Assist branches with sales and marketing initiatives, including advertising, demonstrations, and trade shows.
  • Contribute to sales and product development planning.
  • Coordinate and attend trade shows in the territory.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
