A leading company in facility management is seeking a Director of Sales to manage sales operations and drive revenue generation at their venue. This role involves overseeing the sales team, establishing sales goals, and coordinating marketing efforts. Candidates should have a strong background in sales within similar public assembly facilities, complemented by a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. The Director of Sales will ensure the sales team at the facility meets all individual and departmental sales goals. This position is responsible for the overall tasks related to Sales for the facility and will also lead all sales personnel in establishing goals, procedures and daily duties. The Director of Sales will Manage, supervise and coordinate the activities and operations of the Sales & Booking Department; to schedule and book, facility events, and market the facility; and to provide highly responsible staff assistance to higher-level management staff.
This role will pay a salary of $65,000 to $75,000 plus bonus.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
Skilled in all customer service and administrative procedures established by the convention center.Skill in public relations, oral and written communications, public speaking, contract negotiations,Experience with modern and complex principles and practices of sales and marketing.Experience with supervision, training and performance evaluation.Experience with CRM and other industry VMS systemsFamiliarity with pertinent Federal, State, and local law codes and regulations.Ability to demonstrate supervisory and leadership skills and a thorough knowledge of convention planning and related activities.Advanced computer proficiency and Microsoft products knowledge, to include : Excel, Word and Outlook.Ability to identify potential problems and make plans for corrective action.Some travel as needed.
